The 2024 herring migration has begun. Let’s get counting!

Note: if you're not seeing any fish in the videos, don't panic! They're just arriving and it will take a few weeks before we can expect every video to have some fish. Counting these early videos is still super helpful (even if they're all zeros) as it helps us pin-point when the migration begins.

This project is led by the Mystic River Watershed Association to provide needed data to both estimate the herring run size and to also learn more about this keystone species to aid in recovery and restoration efforts.
